I'm a mathematics and computer science educator who enjoys creating art in his spare time.

I have a Ph.D. in mathematics from Ohio State. I taught for several years at Merrimack College in Massachusetts, and in a visiting position at Hamilton College, before settling into private school teaching at Hopkins School in New Haven, Connecticut, where I currently reside.

Although I teach mathematics and computer science for a living, I am also passionate about creative coding, music, and visual arts. I have helped to maintain the Flash tutorial site flashandmath, and more recently my own HTML5 Canvas and JavaScript blog, rectangleworld.

My passion and focus changes over time, but these days it is mainly devoted to generative art. See some of my work at my flickr site, my Zazzle store, or pixels.com store. for more information about my work!
